my thoughts on the election (as a canadian)

Total nasty clickbait on the subject line there.

You know damn well I'm not talking politics.

Well...

Not exactly.

I want to talk about the absolutely undeniable energy shift that's happened over the past 24 hours.

Politics is the one topic I do genuinely try to avoid.

Not because I'm scared of the confrontation, or because I'm one of those guys who "doesn't really pay attention..."

But because I think it's literally pointless.

My political views are pro humanity. I want the best for myself, my family, and my country.

Therefore, I vote the candidate most likely to get us there. Simple as.

If you vote against me, you're voting for the SAME REASON -- you believe that your candidate is the one who will get you there.

Problem is, our idea of "best for people" is probably 75-80% similar, with some slight tweaks.

But we've both been fed decades of shit from parents, teachers, the media etc. that pit us against eachother.

So it's a pointless argument. I like to think I'm half-decent with words, but I'm sure as hell not going to undo a decade of belief systems in an email.

HOWEVER.

Because of last night's election, the general consensus I've seen across my (mainly Twitter) feed has been:

WE ARE SO BACK LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO

It's an energy I haven't felt since Reddit was trying to take down Wall Street with GameStop.

People are excited about the future. They are inspired to WORK HARD because they think there's a better chance of getting rewarded for it.

RFK Jr. is going on a murder spree for Public Health right now.

Doesn't matter the result of the election -- All I genuinely care about are my fellow humans. I'm so fucking pro human.

And my humans are so excited to be alive right now.

Which means I am, too.

So what's the plan?

Simple:

  • Get healthy. Get really healthy. Go down the health rabbit hole. Build your body into a machine that can handle stress
  • Double down on your skills. Whatever your strongest skill is, make it stronger. Preferably something that makes other people a lot of money
  • Get paid for that skill. Go find a job that values it. Start a DAMN BUSINESS already
  • Go long. Long on the human spirit. Buy assets that are going to go up over the next 4 years

Again:

I am being purely observational.

And my observation was people who have NEVER voted before, weren't "political," were "left from birth..."

All voted for their people, their future, despite who the face of it was.

And this VRILL FOR LIFE that was beaten out of us with barbed wire-wrapped bats for the past 4 years is spilling onto the streets.

You deserve this Reader.

It's time to go all in.

Go all in on yourself.

Go all in on the HUMAN RACE.

And make sure we do it together.
